I had a craving for a sweet pickle yesterday. My husband bought some at the store. He bought the store brand because they were cheaper. They were so sweet, they made my teeth hurt. The second ingredient is high fructose corn syrup. Yuck.
Eww! I hate when you buy sweet pickles and they are too sweet. For me, I like them just sweet enough to say they sweet. I make refrigerator pickles in the summer and they are a happy medium between a dill and a sweet.
My husband is usually a label reading freak. But, for some reason he did not take the time when he bought these. He needs to watch his sugar intake. These pickles had 8 gms of sugar per pickle. Double, yuck.
