Thai Chai

Not sure how I feel about this's got cloves, lemongrass, cinnamon, coconut, ginger, and cardamom. I was expecting it to be different, but this is really unusual. Maybe I'm not making it right.

Has anyone else has Thai chai before? I've been making it hot--is it supposed to be cold?


I imagine the lemongrass and coconut is what is throwing you off. I'm not a chai fan, so I can't really give you any informed help, but it wouldn't hurt to try it cold if you don't like it hot.
I found a tip that it's supposed to be served cold with sweetened condensed milk. I'm not a big fan of that, so I decided to try coconut milk instead. Much improved! It's actually really good. I guess having it hot was what threw me off.
