Recipe For Beginner's?

I've never made wine, but want to try. My mother-in-law has some muscadine grapes growing. It may be another month or two before they are ready, but I want to get suggestions for recipes on that beforehand. So does anyone have any recipes for a complete beginner?

Thanks.

A great beginner recipe for muscadine grapes is, 8lbs of sugar, 8 qts of fruit, 4 quarts of warm water, 1 package of dry yeast.

Dissolve the yeast in the sugar water. Mash fruit and pour yeast and sugar mix over mashed fruit. Slice one potato and put on top then add a good handful of old fashioned steel cut oatmeal or potato meal over the top of that. Transfer to a container and let stand for 28 days. Stir occasionally.

I have made a hundred or so batches of wine and never used a potato or oatmeal. A generic recipe would be about 4 to 6 pounds of fruit or berries + a pound or so of sugar. A lemon or limes juice and a pack of champagne yeast in a clean covered bucket will make a wine.

The amount of sugar needed depends on how sweet the grapes are
